Surface water management plans
A Surface Water Management Plan sets out how surface water will be managed across a defined area. Its purpose is to reduce the risk of surface water flooding, improve water quality and make sure sustainable drainage is in place to cope with rainfall, development and climate change.
Odyssey prepares Surface Water Management Plans for development sites. We assess the ground conditions to establish how much surface water can infiltrate, then calculate drainage routes and runoff rates to arrive at a workable surface water drainage solution.
Where the site discharges to a sewer, we agree acceptable discharge rates with the statutory undertaker, along with any on-site storage that is needed.
