Odyssey has recently secured work with West Berkshire Council (WBC) to assist with SuDS reviews for all major planning applications. Our input will involve working as part of the Drainage team to assist WBC in managing their heavy workload and upholding their mandatory response times on planning applications. As a Lead Local Flood Authority and Statutory Consultee, WBC are obliged to respond to all ‘major applications’ (any application for more than 9 dwellings), within 21 days. The work is expected to be varied, both in scale and with regard to land use classes. Our input will call for constant adaptation and a thorough knowledge of relevant local and national planning policy, and our focus will be to ensure that proposed developments can progress in accordance with national and local planning policies.
