MANAGEMENT

Simon Blinkhorne BSc CMILT MCIHT Partner

Simon founded Odyssey in 2005 and has over 35 years’ continuous experience in the industry. He spent the first five years of this within local government before creating a successful career in consultancy. Whilst Simon now spends most of his time managing the business, he continues to maintain a hands-on role within the company, specialising in unlocking development sites from a highways and transport perspective.

Brian Chamberlain CEng MICE Partner

Brian is a founding member of Odyssey and has over 33 years of experience in the design and construction industry, as well as the development industry. He is a chartered engineer and has worked for large and small consultants in the UK and Overseas, and served clients in both the private and public sector. He enjoys coordinating design projects from concept, through the planning process and onto detailed design from a commercial, financial and resource standpoint.

Ryan Saul BEng (Hons) IEng MICE MCIWEM MCIHT Partner

Ryan is a Partner based at our Basingstoke office. With over 20 years’ experience working for civil and environmental engineering consultancies, he has a broad background in supporting projects through concept, feasibility, strategy, planning, design and construction; including acting as an Expert Witness at Public Inquiries. Ryan works closely with his team of Associates to effectively manage resources and project deliverables.

Richard Harrison BSc (Hons) CMILT MCIHT Associate Director

Richard Harrison is an Associate Director who heads the transport planning team in our Basingstoke office dealing primarily with the highways and transportation planning and implications of development. He is responsible for highways, traffic, transportation and sustainable travel assessments, as well as the provision of expert witness services at planning appeals. Richard has over 25 years’ experience on a wide range of projects, including industrial, commercial, leisure and residential developments.

Luke Hart BEng (Hons) CEng MICE Associate Director

Luke has over 16 years’ experience in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects and has a broad engineering background covering Highways and Drainage Design, Flood Risk Assessments and Services Appraisals. Luke is experienced in delivering infrastructure projects at all stages from concept design through to construction. During his career, Luke has worked across a wide range of areas to deliver schemes for Local Authorities, Highways England and Residential Developers.

Ben Muirhead BEng MCIHT Associate

Ben has been working in the field of transport planning, highways and traffic engineering for over 15 years and has experience on a wide range of projects, both in the UK and Overseas. He undertakes highways, traffic, transportation and sustainable travel assessments, provides advice for and on behalf of clients and has acted as an Expert Witness for Public Inquires.  He has worked on a variety of projects large and small, requiring significant traffic modelling analysis and infrastructure design.

Gerald Guma BSc (Hons) MSc CIWEM, MCIWEM Associate Director

Gerald has over 18 years’ experience in delivering projects in the fields of hydraulic modelling, hydrological analysis, drainage and developmental infrastructure especially large residential developments and strategic flood alleviation schemes for local authorities. Gerald has significant experience within the planning process with regards to flood risk and has an excellent record in completing projects on time and budget.

Mark Bubb MSc CMILT MCIHT MTPS Associate Director

Mark leads the London Transport team and has over 14 years’ experience in transport strategy and policy, travel demand management and traffic engineering. He has worked on numerous projects, for both private and public-sector clients, including housing developers, commercial businesses, local government organisations and members of the public. Submissions in support of planning applications have covered a range of land uses from residential and retail to educational and healthcare developments.

Tom Graham MEng (Hons) CEng MICE Associate Director

Tom has 14 years’ experience in civil engineering, incorporating planning advice, flood risk assessments through to infrastructure, highways and drainage design. Tom has experience on residential and commercial schemes, working with private developers and local authorities. Tom has worked on local projects, schools, stadia, strategic developments, high profile and city centre developments contributing to successful delivery from concept and feasibility stages through to construction and inspection. Tom has been a Chartered Engineer and registered with the Engineering Council since 2012.

Scott Webster Associate Director

Scott has 25 years of practical Civil Engineering experience working in both public and private sectors from Glasgow to Southampton and Central London. He has successfully delivered a vast array of projects including small residential schemes, large £120m HA schemes, Leisure Centres, Football Stadiums, Schools and Hospitals. His experience ranges from concept to construction incorporating FRA’s, flood management, flood mitigation and flood resilience, infrastructure, drainage and highways design.

Ryan has over 16 years’ experience in the design of civil engineering projects. He has a broad engineering background covering residential developments, airport infrastructure and sustainable transport, working with private developers, airport operators and local authorities.  He has significant experience managing the civil engineering design of large mixed use developments for national developers.  Ryan is an Incorporated Engineer and has been registered with the Engineering Council since 2019.
